本課程旨在透過課程講授及文獻閱讀與討論，以歷史學、人類學、社會學、生物學、醫療的理論觀點，探討性別與身體的社會、歷史及文化建構，主要議題包括女性、男性及同志身體的社會建構、身體與性別認同、身體與權力。

English Course Description

This course introduces students to current theoretical and empirical work on the intersections between gender and body. Course readings address multiple concepts of gender and body from a critical point of view including those of sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, history and media studies. Course topics include an overview of foundational theories on the body, the body and gender differences, a history of women’s bodies, the medicalization of women’s bodies, and the social construction of male, female and queer bodies.

教學目標
Course Objectives

本課程以「身體」作為核心議題，從性別研究的觀點出發，探討身體在不同社會、歷史與文化脈絡中的建構方式。課程結合歷史學、人類學、社會學、文化研究、生物學與醫療等跨領域視角，透過課堂講授、文獻閱讀與討論，引導學生理解性別與身體之間的關係。課程將討論身體如何在日常生活、文化規範與制度安排中被理解、規範與經驗，包括身體的社會與文化建構、性別化的身體經驗、身體與認同、身體與權力等議題。課程亦將視課程進行狀況，納入不同性別與生命歷程中的身體經驗作為討論素材，協助學生從多元角度思考身體如何成為性別與社會關係的重要場域。透過本課程，學生將培養分析性別與身體議題的理論基礎與批判視角，並能將相關概念運用於自身關心的研究或實務議題之中。
