本課程旨在介紹國內外性別研究的發展歷程，以提升學生對性別研究的專業認同。本課程探討國內外婦女運動與性別研究的緣起，成果及現況，引導學生檢視社會運動與學科發展的脈絡與關連，反思性別研究者在台灣的學術定位與歷史任務，以提升學生對性別研究之專業認同與學術投入。

English Course Description

This course aims at promoting a student’s sense of professionalism and at raising a student’s feminist commitment to promoting gender equality in Taiwan. By examining the historical development of the women’s movement both globally and locally, this course analyses the social context of feminist movements and their linkages to gender studies as a theoretically vigorous academic field. This course leads students to reflect on their current and future positionings in a rapidly changing society such as Taiwan. This course hopes to provide a historical overview of gender studies and its activist roots so as to engage students to actively participate in the promotion of gender equality.

教學目標
Course Objectives

本課程主要的目標在於引介並探究性∕別研究的多種理論面向、實踐可能與分析結構。在性∕別學術的領域，投注其中的研究者需要多重論述裝置；在這堂課，我們一方面探究文化研究、人類學、歷史敘述、批判理論、社會學∕運動、酷兒理論∕實踐等論證學說如何操作社會現實異議，另一方面，課程的內容聚焦於如何以性別敏感的意識形態投入身體、勞動、思惟概念、物質經濟處境、社會結構等界面的重構與拆解，偕同少數眾的主體性，與現行的主導霸權進行對話並從事公共性干涉。
This course primarily aims to introduce and explore various theoretical perspectives, practical possibilities, and analytical frameworks within gender studies. Researchers in the field of gender studies require multiple discursive tools. In this course, we will examine how different intellectual traditions—such as cultural studies, anthropology, historical narratives, critical theory, sociology/movements, and queer theory/practice—engage with and challenge social realities. At the same time, the course focuses on how to apply a gender-sensitive ideology to the reconstruction and deconstruction of interfaces such as the body, labor, conceptual thinking, material economic conditions, and social structures, in conjunction with the subjectivities of marginalized groups. The goal is to engage in dialogue with and intervene in the dominant hegemonies through public action.
