全球化為日益增強的趨勢，尤其影響全球金融發展甚巨，常常牽一髮而動全世界，因此英語系同學在未來進入商業領域前，需先了解國際財經發展及脈動之趨勢，並逐步嫻熟財經相關之專業知識、詞彙及用語以利未來職場發展，因此同學除在課堂討論外，並需課外自行探索並收集資料做課堂報告，與同學分享。

English Course Description

Globalization has been the growing trend especially in business field, and English is employed in global economy. Students in English Department should know the global economic and financial and trend before entering this field. One of the objectives of the course is to let students be familiar with the global financial trend and professional knowledge; the other is to improve students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in business field by reviewing those important parts of grammar and by improving the vocabulary and specific terms related to the areas of sales, finance, marketing, banking, accounting and stock market to catch up with the fast changing business world. Students have a lot of chances to discuss in the classroom to stimulate their comprehension and imagination about global financial trend, and they need to investigate the trend outside the classroom and make presentation in class to share what they find with their classmates.

人文素養	1.英美文學:以年代與藝文思潮為主軸，簡介作者、作品、時代背景及精神，提供學生所需之西方文化基礎知識。 2.語言學: 由基礎的語言學至進階的句法學，學生可以了解語言學的來源發展及用途。提供學生多元應用語言學的途徑，及學生研究與語言學以及英語教學的進修基礎。
英語文能力	1.英語聆聽能力 :增加口語英語溝通能力，理解並紀錄生活、專業層面各種主題的口頭陳述。 2.英語口語表達能力 :具備討論、面談、小型報告、演說與辯論的英語表達能力。 3.英語閱讀能力:培養進階英文、各類文類閱讀能力。 4.英語寫作能力:寫作能力。
傳播應用能力	1.英語教學。 2.翻譯:培養中英對譯能力。 3.媒體英語文:訓練學生將傳播與現今多媒體或翻譯能力與英語語言學科結合，強化學生英語與傳播應用能力，達到語言為用的目標。

教學目標
Course Objectives

One of the objectives of the course is to let students be familiar with the
global financial trends; the other is to improve students' writing, listening and speaking skills in business field by reviewing those important parts of grammar and by improving the vocabulary and terms related to the areas of sales, finance, marketing, banking, accounting and stock market to catch up with the fast changing business world.

授課方式
Approach to Instruction

Students have a lot of chances to discuss in the classroom to stimulate their comprehension and imagination about global financial trends, and they need to make group presentation in class.. Google Meet will be used if the course must be on-line.
