English Course Description |
The course introduces a Foucauldian perspective on the discourse of power and
knowledge in society. The sociology of scientific knowledge helps us to
understand the processes in which knowledge is constructed and regulated by
wider societal factors as well as personal research motivations. The so-called
value-free knowledge shall be challenged and the emergence of feminism will
help us to gain a better understanding of male domination in the development
of knowledge. |
